I thought it was a wonderful story. I was pulled in right from the start. However -- you suddenly get to what you think is the end and it says ... SEE PART TWO. But when you read more it is really PART THREE that gets you to the end. Rationally I should have given it a ONE but I did like it, just not the ending because there is NO ENDING.Product details

This was a free read on and I liked the character of Lara a lot. She is young and strong, but has not yet experienced the big O with a partner. She becomes chef for a hot ship manager and witnesses how he can please a woman (in the scene two women )). They get to know each other and on her 21st birthday she has great sex with Morgan. The next day he is severely wounded and upon awakening, memories are jumbled. I will have to continue with the rest of the series.
The series seems promising if Falls doesn't string us along too far. I want to know what happens between Morgan and his father. Also, how will Lara and Morgan stay together. I liked Morgan better than Lara . She was whiney about being a Chef and disappointing her parents. He had real issues to deal with. Although the story is short this first part is wrapped up, but you know there's more to it. So you could read it and be satisfied or continue with the series.
Really enjoyed Hooked. This was my first read by K.C. Falls. As I started running out of chapters, I thought "Oh no! The story can't end this soon!" Thankfully it doesn't! It's part 1 of an apparent 3 part series involving the same couple. Loved the character and relationship building. This story had a little bit of everything I enjoy in a good book; strong male AND female leads, witty dialogue, humor, drama, romance and, of course hotness!! I finished it in one sitting and am ready to start the next installment, which I believe is called Wrecked. So glad to have stumbled upon K.C. Fall's work and look forward to reading much more of her work in the future!
First and foremost this book is part of a series not a standalone. I am confused about this relationship. he seems head over heels for her can't get her out of his mind then immediately pushes her away once they have sex. He said he was scared but you don't really understand anything because there is not back story. You know he hates his Dad and he is being paid to watch the boat and stay out of his dad's life but that's about it. I guess you need to read the rest of the series to understand.
I really enjoyed every word of this first book in the series. Flawed characters make the story so much more interesting. Morgan was abused by his mother as a child. She was mentally ill with Munchausens by Proxy and convinced everyone that he and his sister were ill. It caused some real emotional issues with him. Lara is the chef, who was raised by college professors to be highly educated. She rebelled by going to Chef's school and creating masterpieces with food.
This is going to be an interesting and emotional cruise for the two of them and we haven't even met Morgan's father yet. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
It is ffrustrating to get a book and find out you need to read another.
This is bk 1 of what I think is going to be a good series. I liked our handsome, damaged hero....and his monkey...put them abroad a beautiful yatch and stir in a cute little cook who tries to stick to cooking and you have a recipe for a good story. If liking the people is as important to you as it is to me you'll like everybody aboard. The Monkey is named Mrs Dalloway and shes a hoot! I like that Lara doesn't fall right into bed with Morgan because it would've been a little crowded, but he put's the blonds ashore and they continue their journey. They manage to get much better acquainted to the dismay of the first mate and when Morgan's hurt trying to land a Sailfish the story takes a more serious twist. It was an enjoyable read and a nice look at what it takes to keep a large vessel afloat and it's crew fed. Lara had a nice backstory and tho maybe a little young for this adventure it worked. I can't wait to read the second book.
